Healing and Hope for Justice-Impacted Youth.
Healing and Hope for Justice-Impacted Youth.
Justice-Impacted Recovery is dedicated to empowering all youth (17 and under) and young adults (18-25) impacted by the justice system, prioritizing support for youth of color who are disproportionately affected. We provide holistic support through a range of services, including:
1. Culturally Relevant Education and Community Engagement:
"Through culturally relevant education and community engagement, we witness young people reclaim their narratives. They discover the power of their voice, build bridges of understanding across cultures, and transform their lived experiences into fuel for positive community change. They are not just learning; they are leading."
2. Holistic Support Services:
"Our holistic support services create a safe and nurturing space for healing and growth. We see young people confront the root causes of their challenges, develop coping mechanisms, and begin to envision a future free from the grip of trauma and addiction. They are not just surviving; they are thriving."
3. Opportunities to Celebrate Heritage:
"Celebrating heritage is more than just festivities; it’s a powerful act of reclaiming identity and building self-worth. We witness young people connect with their roots, draw strength from their ancestors, and embrace the richness of their cultural heritage. They are not just remembering; they are becoming."
Our goal is to foster resilience, build self-esteem, and create pathways to successful futures for every young person we serve."
We achieve greater impact through strategic partnerships. Our network of stakeholders, including the LAPD, SFPD, community organizations, and individuals, plays a vital role in supporting our programs and services for justice-impacted youth. Our team's expertise and experience in community-based solutions contribute to a safer environment for all. Together, we're building a brighter future.
Justice-Impacted Recovery (JIR) is dedicated to empowering youth and young adults impacted by the justice system. We are a project of The Mission City Project, Inc (501c3) and benefit from the guidance and support of our faith-based parent organization, New Life Faith Center (501c3). Founded by Pastor Rudy Trujillo, who has dedicated over 44 years to serving youth and young adults, and co-founded by Joshua Trujillo, we provide holistic support and culturally relevant programs. We are a registered vendor with Los Angeles County and are recognized by the Department of Justice under The Mission City Project, Inc. This faith-based foundation, combined with evidence-based practices, guides our mission to foster resilience, rebuild self-esteem, and create pathways to successful futures.
We support youth (ages 17 and under) and young adults (18-25) impacted by the justice system, offering prevention, intervention, diversion, and reentry services. Our focus is on healing and breaking the cycle of generational incarceration.
